IFAKO-IJAIYE HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS MEETING IN PREPARATION FOR 2025 FISCAL YEAR

A significant stakeholders meeting was held today at the Council Secretariat, bringing together key members of the Ifako-Ijaiye community to discuss the implementation of the 2025 budget. The gathering aimed to address various community issues and align on fiscal strategies for the upcoming year.

The meeting was presided over by Vice Chairman Mrs. Oluwatoyin Akerele, representing Executive Chairman Prince Usman Akanni Hamzat. In her address, Mrs. Akerele highlighted the numerous achievements of the Executive Chairman since taking office, including the construction of roads and drainages, various empowerment initiatives, and the provision of writing materials to indigent students in public schools.

Council Manager Mr. Akeem Adesanya reinforced the Chairman’s remarks, emphasizing the need for enhanced revenue generation strategies for 2025 to better meet the needs of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government. His insights were well-received, as participants actively engaged in discussions, offering valuable input on areas that require attention in the fiscal plans for the coming year.

The event was well-attended, featuring the Executive Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), councilors, and supervisors. Notable attendees included the Oba of Ogundimu community, clergy members from both the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Muslim community, High Chiefs, Iyaloja General (Chief Mrs. Doyin Coker Ogunbiyi), former Secretary to the Local Government Dr. Mrs. Osanyintolu, APC Chairman Deacon Banjo Omole, House of Assembly Representative for Ifako Constituency Hon. Tope Adewale, DG LASEMA Mr. Osanyintolu, Women Leader of Ifako-Ijaiye Alhaja Fetuga, and other distinguished guests.

The collaborative spirit of the meeting set a constructive tone for planning the fiscal year ahead, ensuring that the voices of all stakeholders are included in the decision-making process.

According to Prince Hamzat, Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government remains committed to transparency, accountability, and the continuous improvement of the community’s welfare.
